September
Ceramic Sculptures
Tuesday, September 9, 16 and 23
6pm-8pm
for individuals over the age of 10 who are able to sustain an activity for 2 hours
$150.00 all supplies and firing included

This class is all about learning about the qualities of clay, having a plan and seeing it through. Students will learn a variety of techniques including; coils, pinch pots, slabs, attaching parts, hollowing, rebuilding, surface treatment and adding finesse. Over the course of three weeks, students will be given the opportunity to create multiple sculptures or, use their time to create one masterpiece.
Projects will be fired once they are bone dry. Glazing is not included however, students will be given guidance on how to properly finish their projects using acrylic paints outside of class.
Participants who do not want to finish their work with acrylic paints can sign up for a glazing workshop or pay to have their pieces glazed for them.

Drawing
Tuesday, October 7, 14, 21 and 28
6pm-8pm
for individuals over the age of 10 who are able to sustain an activity for 2 hours
$120 all supplies included
Improve your observation skills and your ability to not only draw what you see but also, add artistic flair to your drawings. You will learn some of the tools and tricks to create drawings that are both realistic and artistic! We will use charcoal, a variety of pencils, markers and more in this class.

November
Functional Ceramics
Tuesday, November 4, 18 and 25
6pm-8pm
for individuals over the age of 10 who are able to sustain an activity for 2 hours
$150 all supplies included
During this 3 week class, we will explore slab building as a method of making functional ware. Some of the topics covered in this class will be creating and using templates to create multiples, surface decoration and how to ensure finished ceramics are watertight and food safe.
Glazing is not included. Participants can sign up for a glazing workshop or pay to have their pieces glazed for them.

Playing with Colour:
Gelli Prints, Alcohol inks and Watercolour Batik
Tuesday, December 2, 9 and 16
6pm-8pm
for individuals over the age of 10 who are able to sustain an activity for 2 hours
$120 all supplies included
During this 3 week class, we will explore some unstructured/loose ways of laying down colour. Participants will have a blast making monoprints using gelli plates, exploring the beauty of alcohol inks, and using stencils (or their own designs) and wax to make gorgeous watercolour batik on rice paper.
