Big Rock Art Education

Big Rock Art Education was created by me, Renee Carrier.  I am for the most part, a graphite, pastel, watercolour (plus other watermedia), ceramic and acrylic artist.  I also love to dabble in mixed media, have a certificate in photography and create sculptures with found materials and clay.  You can see some of my older works here http://renee-reneesart.blogspot.com/ .  Much of my current work can be viewed on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/ReneeCarrierArtist and on instagram @rcarrierartist.

 

For several years I taught watercolour, drawing and pastel classes and workshops to seniors, adults and teens while working as a classroom teacher.  Prior to that, I had the privilege of being the art specialist at a charter school for students in grades 1 to 6.  Now, I offer classes for all ages from my home studio and with Sheep Creek Arts (www.sheepcreekarts.ca).

 

I believe that creating art for the sake of art, helps all people thrive and enhance their way of thinking, living and learning.
