We all have an appreciation for beauty and respond emotionally to images and forms that resonate with us.  With Renee at Big Rock Art Education students embrace their inner artist.  They cultivate the skills and knowledge that artists use when they create, appreciate and respond to visual art.  
 

Participating in art education helps cultivate critical thinking, creativity and problem solving skills.  It encourages an appreciation for multiple points of view, enhances mathematical thinking and writing skills.  Most importantly, art making is a joyful life skill that enhances wellbeing and happiness.  Art making is about the process and the experience even more than the finished product!

As an artist and educator for 25 years, Renee has a solid understanding of the environment, structure and process required to set students up for success.  She is passionate about giving students a solid (big rock solid!) foundation that will enable her students to embrace and develop their inner artist.

Classes at Big Rock Art Education are structured for student success,  beginning mid September (once students and families are back into their school routines) and continue through the month of May.  Each student's journey includes skill building and exploration.  Each journey is driven by individual preferences and experience.
